The Safari is a five-hour, four wheel drive photographic learning experience. These safaris are run on demand with a minimum of two people and a maximum of four per vehicle/tutor. This makes for highly individualized learning environment.

NZ$320pp .The narrow road to Skippers Canyon winds down into what was once a rich gold mining area. All that remains is a beautifully restored school house and the weathered and sculptured landforms produced by the sluicing. Stopping along the way at the Shotover river and the bridge, this makes for an exciting trip. Best in the autumn.

The Rees Valley is a destination option taken after we drive through Glenorchy. We drive along beside this beautiful river stopping along the way to Photograph views towards the Forbes Range. The area has plenty mosses and lichens to practice your macro Photography. A small waterfall gives us a great opportunity to experiment with slow shutter speeds and make images that you have always wanted to be able to do.

September through to July, not in Winter. The Nevis Valley is beyond Cromwel. 100km from Queenstown.

If learning about your digital camera and composition is your priority, staying closer to Queenstown and having one to one tuition is the answer. Spend 2 or more hours with Canon EOS Master and award winning photographer Jackie Ranken who will customize tuition to your areas of interest and/or concerns.
Have the opportunity to trial different Canon EOS cameras 500D, 60D, 7D and 5DMKII.

Just a quick note to thank you for the weekend. I had a lot of fun and cannot believe how much you taught me in a few days :-) I have started re-reading my photography magazines and suddenly I am getting so much more from them because I know more about the subject.
