West Coast Workshops
– Based in Haast and Franz Josef April
2-6, September 24-28 2010, 4 nights. - Friday 3pm, Tuesday 11am. Max
10 students.
Single –NZ$830, Twin/Double NZ$620pp
plus-tuition fee $760 + $120 for those who travel with us from
Queenstown. Haast is nestled at the bottom of South
Westland alongside the Haast River.
This World Heritage designated area is
renowned as being New Zealand’s “last frontier”, home to rare
wildlife, rugged beaches and wild rainforests.
The magnificent Franz Josef Glacier is
widely regarded as the gem of New Zealand’s West Coast Glaciers.
This is a unique environment with many photographic challenges to
explore.
Travel with us from Queenstown 10am or
travel in your own vehicle and meet us at the Haast World Heritage
Hotel at 4pm on a Friday, the workshop travels up the coast to Franz
Joseph for two nights then back to Haast for the last night,
finishing 11am on a Tuesday, or travel with us back to Queenstown. We
have space in our vehicles for 8 students … more information.
Fiordland Workshop (based
in Te Anau) October 14-18 2010, 4 nights, Thursday 5pm –
Monday 5pm. - Max 8 students. (based in Te Anau) October 14-18 2010,
4 nights, Thursday 5pm – Monday 5pm. - Max 8 students.
Accommodation and tuition $1890pp plus meals. This workshop starts in Queenstown
Friday and travels via the Mavora Lakes to our base for two nights in
Te Anau. We photograph Milford Sound on Saturday and then travel to
Doubtful Sound for an over night stay on board the “Seafin”. Return to Queenstown Monday afternoon.
We plan to take all students in our vehicles. The high-light of this
trip will be the overnight on Doubtful Sound.... more information.
Queenstown Workshop Autumn

This workshop is based in
Queenstown. We can organize your accommodation or you can book you
own. On the Saturday we travel in our
4 wheel drive Prados through Arrowtown (which has fantastic autumn
colour), then travel literally up the Arrow River to Macetown ( many
ford crossings, definitely 4 wheel drive territory). The next day we
drive into Skippers Canyon.... more information.
Kinloch Workshop May
21-24 2010, 3 nights, Friday 2pm to Monday 11am. Max 12 Students
Located across the lake from Glenorchy 1 hour from Queenstown. A paradise minutes away from the start of the Routeburn and Greenstone tracks. There is so much to offer a landscape photographer from majestic vistas, sublime waterfalls, eerie swirling mists to intricate macro photography.... more information.
Coromandel workshop - Apri 30th - May 3rd 2010 - Friday 3pm to Monday 2pm.
The Coromandel is 1.5 hours from
Auckland North Island. It boasts fascinating seascapes and coastal walkways.
